"Sunset" mittens - Rust flower on a black background

...And boreal reverie

Knitted in a dense black yarn, these mittens are adorned with a stylized rust-colored crocheted flower, worked directly into the stitch. The upper edge echoes the same shade as a thick, knitted, folded hem. The bottom of the ribbed cuff also features this same hem, but in a blue hue, as does the upper edge of the thumb. The rust and deep blue tones complement each other perfectly, hinting at the approaching sunset.
