These hand-knitted mittens in a grey knit are adorned with a proud robin, crafted fiber by fiber using a dry felting technique. The artisan shapes the robin directly onto the wool, manually pricking it to form the bird, its russet and grey hues until the desired shape is achieved. The slightly raised design appears to be applied to the knit surface like a textile painting. The scalloped edge and the softness of the knit complete this poetic creation, full of nuance and craftsmanship.
