Corund is one of the historical centers of artisanal ceramics in Transylvania. The pieces there are made of earthenware using a traditional process: first firing of the clay, application of a light slip, hand-painted decoration and then final glazing.
This bowl features the characteristic red floral decoration of the Székely region, along with a subtle frieze at the base of the body. Designed for the table, it can also be used as a serving bowl for soup, salad, or other dishes.
