An embroidered design that echoes Balkan folklore

Made from black cotton, this bracelet is distinguished by its silver thread embroidery in swirling, sinuous patterns. The ends are secured with robust, hypoallergenic surgical steel. Inspired by the decorative motifs of traditional costumes, the thread, too thick to pass through, is applied over the fabric and held in place with tight stitches: this is the principle of couching, also known as monastic stitch.
