Ethno Slava at Printemps Tsigane on May 7, 2026

On May 7, 2026, Ethno Slava will participate in the Printemps Tsigane festival in Aubervilliers for the Grand Bal d'Ederlezi, organized as part of the Printemps Tsigane festival.

Le Point Fort d'Aubervilliers, in collaboration with Balkan Beats and DJ Tagada, are teaming up for a grand celebration full of wonderful emotions alongside artists who are constantly reinventing themselves and constantly exploring new fusions: the Parisian scene is currently one of the most active in this moving blend of cultures.

For Ethno Slava, this participation is a natural continuation of the project: to highlight artisanal know-how from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, within a lively (and festive) cultural setting, rather than a purely commercial one.

I would be delighted to chat with visitors on site about craft traditions, embroidered motifs, weaving, folkloric objects, and the different cultures represented in the shop.

Ederlezi: meaning

Celebrated in many regions of the Balkans around St. George's Day, Ederlezi (also known as Ђурђевдан in Serbian) is a spring festival associated with renewal, music, reunions, and collective celebrations. In Roma and Balkan traditions, this period holds a strong symbolic place and remains widely celebrated today.

For this evening, several artists and groups will gather at Le Point Fort d'Aubervilliers to perform Gypsy and Balkan music: Tarafikants, Maria Chivu, Raluca Radu, Norig, Romano Atmo, Balkan Est, and Baklava Orkestar.
